About Nataly

Nataly Kais is a multidisciplinary painter and visual artist based in Ottawa. Her work explores the female experience through bold colour, high contrast, and a playful illustrative sensibility, celebrating womanhood in all its joy, sensuality, and complexity.

An immigrant artist of Middle Eastern background, Nataly draws from the people and moments that fill her daily life: her friends, her family, her relationships, and the small rituals of femininity. Her paintings move between portraiture, still life, and surreal scenes, weaving cultural references and personal symbolism into a visual language that is intimate, ornamental, and quietly subversive.

Nataly holds a BFA in Drawing and Painting from OCAD University, with a specialization in Digital Art and Expanded Animation. Alongside her studio practice, she works as an art director on large-scale visual projects for global artists and venues. She has exhibited in Toronto and Montreal since 2017, with public commissions for the University of Toronto and architectural firms in Montreal, and private commissions across Ontario and Quebec.
